Our Trustees

Cotswold Canals Trust Trustees
As a registered charity, The Cotswold Canals Trust (CCT) is governed by a dedicated Board of Trustees, in line with our formal Memorandum and Articles of Association.
Trustees play a vital role in overseeing the charity’s management, administration, and strategic direction. All of our Trustees are volunteers and unpaid, giving their time and expertise to ensure the Trust remains focused, effective, and accountable.
How We Work
The Trust Council, our board of trustees, meet monthly (excluding August and January) to take collective decisions on policy, governance, and long-term planning. Together, they help identify opportunities to further our mission and ensure compliance with our charitable objectives.
The Board is structured to bring expertise across key areas including: Health & Safety, Finance, Fundraising, Environment and Restoration Project Management
Our governing document allows for up to 15 trustees, enabling a breadth of experience and perspective. Each Trustee plays an important part in representing various stakeholders across the organisation. They may bring forward issues or ideas raised by team leaders, project managers, volunteers, or members for discussion and development.
