Cotswold Canals Phases

Cotswold Canals Phases

The Cotswold Canals Restoration Project is breathing new life into this historic 36-mile waterway, reconnecting communities, habitats, and heritage. The project was divided into three phases (with Phase 1 split further into 1A and 1B) to help structure restoration and secure funding.

The first major funding breakthrough came in 2006, paving the way for the long-term revival of the canals – a project delivering environmental, cultural, and community benefits for generations to come.
