Bookshop to open second store

Our Second Charity Book & Music Shop will be at Stonehouse! Our CCT Bookshop at Brimscombe Port has proved to be a great asset and fundraiser and is very well supported by both our volunteers and the general public. We have therefore been looking to replicate this community enterprise and have now signed up for premises in Queens Road in central Stonehouse to create our second Charity Book & Music Shop.

We are very thankful to Stonehouse Town Council for supporting us with a grant towards the initial rents to enable CCT to establish a secure community and local volunteer asset within the town. Mike Richter, our Bookshop Manager, and his team (photo) are fitting out the premises and hope to open to the public in August. Our shops could not exist without the many lovely donations that are given to us. We sell all books, vinyl records and CDs, as well as DVDs, Puzzles and board games, pictures & frames. We already have lots merchandise stored to fill the new shop and will be welcoming more. Smaller donations (two or three bags) will be accepted at either shop, but the larger donations should continue to be taken to our Brimscombe shop, please. New volunteers will be needed to help at the shop. It is planned to be open Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays, 10am to 4pm each week. Full training will be given and a friendly team will welcome you, so please spread the word!!
