Departing from Wallbridge, our public trips offer a chance to explore some of the most picturesque and historically rich sections of the canal, you’ll be immersed in the tranquil beauty of the surrounding countryside. Hop aboard Perseverance for a delightful 25-minute boat trip along the scenic Thames and Severn Canal!

Tickets are available from our Wallbridge Visitor Centre; however, we recommend booking online in advance or checking availability before you visit to avoid disappointment.
Online bookings close at 4:00pm on the Friday before each trip. Subject to availability, walk-in tickets are welcome on the day.

Stroud Brewery Lunch Trips

Enjoy a scenic cruise from Wallbridge along the restored Thames & Severn Canal, with a lunch stop at Stroud Brewery. Travel through Bowbridge Lock and Griffin’s Mill Lock before a short 10-minute towpath walk to the brewery. You’ll have 90 minutes for lunch before returning by boat. Tables are reserved automatically for all passengers.

Trips will run every on the first Thursday of the month in July, August, September, October and November.

Private Charters

Celebrating a birthday, marking a special occasion, or simply fancy a treat? Enjoy the boat all to yourselves with one of our volunteer-led private charters, for up to 12 passengers, sit back and take in the view.

Wallbridge to Bowbridge Arms | 2 hours | £160

Starting from Wallbridge Upper Lock, enjoy a relaxing cruise aboard our trip boat, Perseverance, along the canal to Bowbridge Lock, where you will have the opportunity to experience passing through a working canal lock.

You will then disembark for a short walk to the Bowbridge Arms, with just over an hour to enjoy a drink or a bite to eat at this popular local pub before the return journey.

After your stop, return to the boat to cruise back to Stroud.  This is the perfect cruise to introduce you to the restored Cotswold Canals whilst and enjoy some refreshment along the way.

Terms & Conditions

– All bookings must be made prior to departure.
– The boat will depart at the advertised time. Late arrivals cannot be guaranteed a place on a later trip.
– Every effort will be made to complete trips as planned. However, adverse weather conditions, waterway stoppages, or operational issues may require changes or cancellations.
– If a trip is cancelled for reasons beyond our control, customers will be offered either a full refund or the opportunity to rebook at no additional charge.
– Children must be accompanied by a responsible adult purchasing a full-price ticket.
– No dogs are permitted on board, except for registered Guide or Assistance Dogs.

Accessibility
– Passengers must be able to safely embark and disembark without assistance from the crew. If a passenger requires support from a carer or has any specific accessibility requirements or concerns, we kindly ask that you contact us before making your booking and we will do our best to accommodate your needs.
– Please note that our public trip boats, including Perseverance, are not wheelchair accessible.
– Our fully accessible trip boat, Adventure, based at Saul Junction on the Gloucester & Sharpness Canal, is available for private hire and features wheelchair access and accessible facilities onboard.
– We can also provide information about Cotswold Boatmobility for visitors requiring additional support.
