CCT Youth Group – Autumn 2025
Do you know someone aged 11–16 who wants to make a real difference to the heritage and wildlife along the Stroud–Stonehouse canal corridor?
Our Canal Youth Group is the perfect opportunity for young people to:
🌿 Get involved in hands-on conservation activities
🌸 Litter pick, sow wildflowers, plant trees & help protect nature
💚 Learn practical skills & discover the canal’s heritage
👫 Meet new friends, stay active & spend time outdoors
No experience is needed — just enthusiasm and a willingness to get stuck in! If participants attend all sessions, their time can count towards the volunteering section of the Bronze Duke of Edinburgh’s Award.
Session details:
🗓 Sundays, 1–3 pm on:
21 Sept | 5 Oct | 19 Oct | 2 Nov | 16 Nov | 30 Nov
📍 Locations: Along the canal from Wallbridge (Stroud) to Stonehouse (exact meeting points confirmed before each session).
All equipment, gloves, snacks & drinks provided. Sessions run in all weathers — sturdy boots/wellies & waterproofs recommended (loan options available).
🎖 Every participant will receive a certificate and badge on completion.
