Dudbridge flood waters
Dudbridge flood waters
by: Frank L.
Once again this week, due to heavy rain again over the past few days, a team returned to Dudbridge to check flow rates (very high) with a blockage obviously half way down the spill Weir. There was no chance of anyone risking life and limb with the high flow, so the grill was cleared of a lesser amount of debris than that dealt with on Monday.

We then moved up to check the water above the top lock and found a brothersister for the 3 logs from Monday that took great effort to remove. This log was bigger, but 2 ropes, and 4 bodies eventually removed it to the lock island. Again I requested chain saw assistance from WD to remove it, as it was too heavy to shift.

The Tug of war team were Richard III, Andy P, Bob A, Chris – new recruit and myself. I’ve a feeling there are more monster logs lurking in the Painswick stream for us to deal with.

Oh for a month of rain free weather. !!!!!
