Dudbridge update Feb 10-12th 2020
An inspection and approval day. Mike H, engineer, came to site to see what we had done so far. He was happy and we have the nod to continue, so we did. More bricks were taken out and stone at the water line was cleaned. Not too pretty, as much of the stone was shattered and so was removed. This left the bricks above with no support, so more were removed as well.
The high pressure cleaner did a good job of cleaning the surfaces and covering the operator.
The nice green tool store was loaded on to a trailer and reversed down the tow path. No stories of imminent doom today as it was pushed into place to sit alongside the also green welfare unit. Very pretty.
Did not take long to fill it with all manner of things. All we need now, still, are lots of bricks, tie bars, sand and cement and some nice warm weather.
As a change of scenery we went to Saul, to look at the wheelchair ramp that needs to be built for access to the very smart electric boat Adventure. Another now urgent job. The cat scanner identified pipework and cables to be avoided. Spent a while trying to figure out what cat meant-Hopeless until google bailed us out
