Pop-Up Bookshop & Volunteer Recruitment Day at Saul Junction
Come along to Saul Junction Visitor Centre for a special Pop-Up Bookshop & Volunteer Recruitment Day, combining the chance to pick up a great read with an opportunity to discover more about volunteering at our Saul Junction Visitor Centre or as crew our trip boat Adventure.
Whether you’re a regular visitor, already know and love Saul Junction, or would simply like to find out how you could help, everyone is welcome to drop in and meet the team.
Could you volunteer at Saul Junction Visitor Centre?
Our friendly teams at Saul Junction Visitor Centre and aboard our Adventure trip boat are looking for new volunteers, and this event is the perfect opportunity to come along and find out more about both opportunities.
Visitor Centre volunteers help give visitors a warm welcome to Saul Junction, share information about the Cotswold Canals and local area, talk about our restoration, and support the day-to-day running of the Centre and shop.
Our Adventure Boat Crew help us deliver our popular passenger boat trips from Saul Junction. It’s a great opportunity to spend time on the water, meet passengers and play a part in giving visitors an enjoyable experience of the Cotswold Canals.
Both are friendly and sociable volunteering opportunities, ideal for anyone who enjoys meeting people, has an interest in boats, canals or the local area, or would simply like to give some of their spare time to support the Trust.
No previous canal or boating knowledge is necessary. Our teams will be on hand to explain what each role involves, what a typical volunteering session looks like and the training and support available.
There’s no obligation to sign up on the day – simply come along for a chat and discover whether joining our Saul Junction Visitor Centre or Adventure Boat Crew could be for you!
Browse our Pop-Up Bookshop
Alongside our volunteer recruitment team, we’ll be running a special pop-up canal-themed bookshop from 11:30am until 3pm.
Have a browse and pick up your next read while supporting the Cotswold Canals Trust. Our Visitor Centre shop will also be open, with books, maps, gifts and snacks, as well as information and advice about the canals and local attractions.
With Christmas approaching, it’s also a great opportunity to start your Christmas shopping while supporting the ongoing work of the Trust.
