Backfilling complete, tracks back down
The Network Rail tamping train is due to be in action between 11pm tonight and 11am tomorrow, which means that the track is down and the project is completing on time.
It’s a noisy piece of equipment, which packs the stone around the track and can be noisy for those living nearby. We are very sorry for any inconvenience.
