Volunteering – Administration, Fundraising and IT Support

Administration, Events, Fundraising & IT Support
Behind the scenes, we need help keeping everything running – from managing data and updating records to supporting communications, events, and membership systems.
There are also opportunities to help showcase the Trust to the public by supporting events, open days, and community outreach. You could also take on a leadership role as a Youth Group Leader or Corporate Volunteering Team Leader, inspiring others to get involved.
These roles are ideal for anyone with office, organisational, or IT skills, or for those who enjoy coordinating people and activities. You can contribute flexibly, either from home or on-site. You might get involved in crowdfunding campaigns, thanking supporters, organising events, or welcoming volunteer and corporate groups. Every effort and every penny raised helps restore more of the canal.

I really enjoy contributing to the ongoing work on the canal, and I love talking to people. One of the really nice things about volunteering is the sense of contribution. When you walk along the Towpath, you can think, I’m part of this.
