Volunteering – Boat Moorings, Piling and Bank Renovation

Boat Moorings, Piling and
Bank Renovation

Join our hands-on team and help restore and enhance the Cotswold Canals! Volunteers play a vital role in strengthening and maintaining the waterway by assisting with piling, canal bank renovations, and mooring installations for both residential and visitor boats.

Tasks include preparing and installing landing stages, reinforcing banks with concrete and steel supports, and supporting dredging and general canal maintenance.

Volunteers also gain experience operating and maintaining equipment such as barges, cranes, and power tools, while contributing to visible, meaningful improvements to the canal environment. This role is perfect for anyone who enjoys practical, team-based projects and wants to make a lasting impact on the restoration of this historic waterway.
