Many people volunteer because they want to be around others, especially if they live alone, It’s a friendly face every week, with no time pressure. The atmosphere is so friendly and relaxed. Nothing feels too much trouble, and it’s a lovely environment. Plus, it’s great to know you’re contributing to something important.
