Volunteering – Trip Boats

Trip Boat Crew
Step aboard and be part of one of the most enjoyable and sociable volunteer roles we offer – crewing our passenger boats! The Cotswold Canals Trust runs popular boat trips from Saul Junction, Ebley, Wallbridge, and Lechlade, giving thousands of visitors the chance to experience our beautiful waterways and learn more about their rich history.
No boating experience? No problem. We provide full training for all roles, along with ongoing support from experienced crew members. You can commit as much or as little time as you wish – our flexible rotas make it easy to fit volunteering around your life.

I’d never been on a narrowboat before, but they assured be I’d get full training – and I’ve loved it ever since. It’s sociable, flexible and relaxed. There’s no pressure you can do what you can.
