Volunteering – Visitor Centres

Visitor Centres

Join our friendly volunteer teams at one of our four welcoming visitor centres – Wallbridge (Stroud), Saul Junction, Bonds Mill, or the Cotswold Lakes. These hubs are often the first point of contact for people discovering the Cotswold Canals, making your role key to inspiring support for our restoration efforts.

The role is flexible and suitable for everyone, whether you can spare a couple of hours a month or volunteer regularly.

It’s a great way to meet new people, learn more about the waterways, and feel part of a passionate community working to protect and restore our heritage. No previous experience is needed – just enthusiasm and a friendly approach. Full guidance is provided, and you’ll always have support from fellow volunteers.

When i retired, i knew i wanted to do something meaningful that connected me with people and supported a cause i care about – like restoring the canals.
