Stroud, Gloucestershire — The Cotswold Canals Trust and Molson Group are delighted to announce the continuation of their impactful partnership, marked by the generous loan of a mini digger to support CCT’s mission of restoring the Cotswold Canals.
Molson has a long history of supporting the CCT by loaning and even donating several pieces of equipment over the years. Most recently, Molson Group has kindly loaned a mini digger to be used for general activities aiding the restoration project such as silt off-loading and the transportation of materials. This smaller digger will replace a similar piece of equipment supplied by Molson Group.
The loaned equipment marks the continuation of a relationship stretching over 10 years between the Cotswold Canals Trust and Molson Group. Not only is Molson Group contributing to a valued cause, but their friendly approach and responsive and efficient service means less time is lost when technical problems arise. During the past three years alone, machinery provided by Molson Group has contributed to over six hundred hours of canal maintenance and improvements.

Their friendly and helpful support gives our volunteers confidence in operating their kit.”

The continued partnership between these two organisations highlights the power of collaboration in driving meaningful change. With the help of the Molson Group, the Cotswold Canals Trust can continue work on the current Phase 1B project, a significant milestone in the restoration of the Stroudwater Canal which will connect the Cotswold canals to the UK’s national canal network. This phase will present new opportunities for communities and towns in the area and enhance the canal environment. Maintenance work using our equipment on the completed Phase 1A helps ensure the canals are accessible to everyone.
