Waitrose Community Matters Award

Cotswold Canals Trust Chairman Mike Guest was presented with a cheque for £529 at Waitrose in Stroud on Tuesday evening 15th January.

Local Support

The Waitrose Community Matters Scheme allows customers to show their support for local charities by placing a green token in a clear plastic collection box of their choice.

November saw Cotswold Canals Trust as one of the three charities with a box in the check out area.

Waitrose Stroud allocates £1000 per month to the scheme. This sum is then divided proportionally between the three charities.

The nominated charities are gathered at three month intervals to receive their awards.
