The most wonderful things happen and all because of the canal!
We are used to interesting people popping in to the Visitor Centre, and often they remind us of the value of our canals and how they are enjoyed by our neighbours.
Mr Briggs of Cashes Green, 87 years young, arrived this morning, with a shopping trolley full of photo albums. About 40 years ago Mr Briggs began walking his daughter’s dog along the canal towpath in Ebley. He started taking photos of his travels and has collected and collated a series of albums showing the living history of our canal restoration projects.
He continues to take photographs today and will continue as long as he is able. We are delighted that we have a selection of his albums on loan at Wallbridge for people to come and view.
Mr Briggs is a fully paid up member of CCT and like us he feels that it will be an important record for the Trust.
